New Mexico Bear Hunting / Elk Combination Hunts

The bear on Wheaton Creek Ranch have enjoyed protection from hunting for 30 years. Bears have continued to damage our heirloom apple orchards and we need to reduce the number of bear on the ranch. So we will be happy to have you bear hunting with us. Bear hunts begin on August 16th and the hunt continues until the quota is met. The hunt is 5 days, including excellent lodging, meals, and guide service. We offer transportation across the ranch, but you are welcome to bring and use your own vehicle for the hunt.  We have high quality facilities for processing an animal. Including multiple walk-in freezers, multiple pulley hoists, a heated indoor shop and hot water for cleaning.
